We Are His Body is an uplifting worship song about believers being joined together as the Body of Jesus Christ. It celebrates Jesus as Lord, Prince of Peace, and the One who lives in His people, calling them to be His hands and feet in the world. With a message of unity, service, faith, and love, the song reminds listeners that many people and many parts can be joined heart to heart through Christ, taking His love to everyone they meet.
Scriptures Connected to This Song
Short quotations from the public-domain King James Version. Select a reference to read the exact passage in a new tab.
“For as the body is one, and hath many members, and all the members of that one body, being many, are one body: so also is Christ. For by one Spirit are we all baptized into one body, whether we be Jews or Gentiles, whether we be bond or free; and have been all made to drink into one Spirit.”
“Now ye are the body of Christ, and members in particular.”
“But speaking the truth in love, may grow up into him in all things, which is the head, even Christ: From whom the whole body fitly joined together and compacted by that which every joint supplieth, according to the effectual working in the measure of every part, maketh increase of the body unto the edifying of itself in love.”
