God is Love
Album: Pure Heart • About NECM
God Is Love is built on one simple truth with eternal weight: God is love, and His love never fails. The song anchors that message in Jesus Christ, whose presence gives hope even when the world seems to fall apart. It points toward a coming new world and lifts the scene to heaven, where angels sing of the glory and greatness of God's love.
Scriptures Connected to This Song
Short quotations from the public-domain King James Version. Select a reference to read the exact passage in a new tab.
“He that loveth not knoweth not God; for God is love. In this was manifested the love of God toward us, because that God sent his only begotten Son into the world, that we might live through him. Herein is love, not that we loved God, but that he loved us, and sent his Son to be the propitiation for our sins.”
“Charity never faileth: but whether there be prophecies, they shall fail; whether there be tongues, they shall cease; whether there be knowledge, it shall vanish away.”
“And he that sat upon the throne said, Behold, I make all things new. And he said unto me, Write: for these words are true and faithful.”
